De Bruyne Undergoes Successful Surgery for Hamstring Tear

Naples: Napoli announced that Kevin De Bruyne has successfully undergone surgery for a severe hamstring injury sustained during the Serie A champions’ recent 3-1 victory over Inter. The injury occurred after De Bruyne scored a penalty that contributed to Napoli’s win.

According to Ansa News Agency, the surgery took place in Antwerp and addressed a high-grade tear of the biceps femoris in De Bruyne’s right thigh. Dr. Raffaele Canonico, the head of Napoli’s medical staff, assisted in the procedure. The club confirmed that the operation was successful.

Following the surgery, De Bruyne will commence the initial phase of post-surgery rehabilitation in Belgium. Napoli has indicated that the midfielder is expected to be out of action for approximately three to four months as he recovers from the injury.
