Vice Admiral Salvado de Figueiredo Takes Command of Euromarfor

Lisbon: The Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Italy in Portugal, Claudio Martinello, attended a significant handover ceremony for the command of the multinational maritime force, Euromarfor. This event marked the transition of leadership within the force, which includes participation from France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

According to Ansa News Agency, Vice Admiral Aurelio De Carolis of the Italian Navy officially handed over command to Vice Admiral Salvado de Figueiredo of the Portuguese Navy. Euromarfor is recognized for its ability to conduct crisis management operations, provide humanitarian support, and execute peacekeeping missions.
