Verona Guest City of Honor at Hangzhou International Day

Hangzhou: Verona Mayor Damiano Tommasi was the guest of honor in Hangzhou where as part of the eighth Hangzhou international day he inaugurated the Verona-Hangzhou exchange pavilion. The mayor also signed an academic agreement between Verona University and Zhejiang City University. Tommasi was accompanied by Deputy Councilor for International Relations Francesco Fasoli. The event was also attended by Consul General of Italy in Shanghai Tiziana D’Angelo.

According to Ansa News Agency, this year’s theme, “Hangzhou, a paradise where AI flourishes and culture blossoms,” highlighted the city’s ambition to promote high-quality development and shared prosperity. The event attracted representatives from the diplomatic corps of 23 countries, seven international organizations, and two partner cities including Verona.
