Ambassador in Tunis Inaugurates Cultural Heritage Course

Tunis: The ambassador of Italy to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas, inaugurated a course on cultural heritage and sustainable tourism, organized by La Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Manouba as part of the Share Africa program, promoted by the Ihea Foundation. This initiative aims to strengthen the collaboration between Italy and Tunisia in the fields of cultural heritage and tourism.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian Diplomatic Representation emphasized the growing synergies between the participating universities, which are key players in the Italian-Tunisian partnership. The course aims to enhance Tunisia’s historical-artistic and archaeological heritage while developing responsible and sustainable tourism models. The dual objective is to promote scientific research and technical cooperation and to train young individuals who can balance cultural heritage protection with economic growth.

The Share Africa program serves as a platform for exchanging and transferring knowledge among universities, cultural institutions, and practitioners. Through seminars, workshops, and joint educational modules, Tunisian and Italian students are provided opportunities to engage with international experts. This engagement helps them develop skills to address global challenges related to the sustainable management of cultural heritage.
