Rome: Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday dismissed speculation from former premier and Italia Viva leader Matteo Renzi regarding her potential aspirations to become the Italian president when Sergio Mattarella’s term concludes in 2029.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni addressed the speculation during an interview on Italian TV, stating that the issue lies with individuals who constantly ponder their next political role. She emphasized that she does not share this mindset and is content with her current position as prime minister, assuring that it suffices for her.
