Rome: Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday released a message marking the second anniversary of the October 7 massacre of Israeli civilians by Hamas, stating it was one of the worst atrocities ever committed.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni highlighted the gravity of the event by recalling the massacre committed by Hamas terrorists against more than a thousand defenceless, innocent Israeli civilians, including women and children. She described these acts as unspeakable crimes that render October 7 as one of the darkest pages in history.

Meloni expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and made a renewed call for the release of hostages, who have endured two years of captivity, harassment, and suffering.
