Wimbledon: My Best Is Yet to Come Says Triumphant Sinner

Rome: Jannik Sinner said he thinks he still has room for improvement after coming from a set down to beat Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday to become the first Italian, male or female, to win a singles title at Wimbledon.

According to Ansa News Agency, Italy’s world number one, Jannik Sinner, expressed that he doesn’t believe he is at his peak performance yet. At 23 years old, he claimed his fourth Grand Slam and his 20th ATP title, but insists there is still more to achieve. “I don’t think I’m at my best because at 23 I don’t think you can be in your best shape ever,” Sinner stated, emphasizing his desire for continued improvement.

Sinner revealed that he drew motivation from his previous encounter with Alcaraz, where he lost in the French Open final despite having three championship points. He acknowledged the need to elevate his game to maintain an edge over the Spanish player. “Even today I felt like he (Alcaraz) was doing couple of things better than I did,” Sinner admitted, highlighting area
