Giorgetti Claims Left Rises to Power Through Judicial and Financial Coups
Rome: Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti has accused the Left of securing government power not through elections but via judicial or financial coups. Giorgetti made these remarks while addressing a rally of his right-wing League party in Livorno, ahead of the upcoming Tuscany regional elections.
According to Ansa News Agency, Giorgetti emphasized that the Left’s rise to power is not typically through electoral victories but rather through judicial or financial maneuvers. He stated, “The left doesn’t come to government through elections; it usually gets there through a judicial or financial coup. This is the recent history of this country.”
Giorgetti expressed his primary objective as preventing such occurrences and securing the government. He highlighted the challenges posed by the nation’s significant debt, sharing, “We have a significant debt, and every time I have to go around asking for money.” His comments reflect the ongoing political tensions as the regional elections approach.
