You Would Have Sided With Hitler – Rome Anti-NGO Slogans

Rome: A banner was projected during the night between Sunday and Monday onto the walls of the Pyramid Cestius and the FAO building in Rome, accusing several NGOs, including Amnesty International and medical charity Emergency, of hypocrisy. The banner misspelled Amnesty International as ‘Amnesy’ and claimed that if Israel had bombed trains heading to the Auschwitz concentration camp, these organizations would have “sided with Hitler”.

According to Ansa News Agency, the banner also displayed logos of other NGOs, such as Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the Red Cross, and the Italian Partisans Association ANPI. The slogans, projected on the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, provocatively stated, “Had Israel bombed the trains for Auschwitz, you would have sided with Hitler.”

The messages further accused the NGOs of hypocrisy and anti-Semitism, claiming these ideologies were their guiding principles. The projection concluded with the message, “Happy Holocaust Remembrance Day,” underscoring the controversial nature of the statements made against these organizations.
