Vatican City: The Vatican Press Office announced Wednesday that an X-ray of Pope Francis’ lungs, conducted in the last few days, revealed “slight improvements in the pulmonary infectious picture”.
According to Ansa News Agency, the 88-year-old Argentine pontiff has begun a convalescence period expected to last two months, as he recovers from bilateral pneumonia. Pope Francis was discharged from Rome’s Gemelli hospital on March 23, following a 38-day stay for his condition.
The Vatican has been closely monitoring the health of Pope Francis, ensuring that he receives the necessary medical care and rest during this recovery period.
