Rome: Italy supports US President Donald Trump’s efforts to forge peace in Ukraine, Premier Giorgia Meloni told the Senate in a briefing ahead of this week’s European Council Tuesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Meloni stated that it is the stalemate on the ground that today can lead to peace negotiations. She emphasized the importance of proudly claiming the united and determined support for the Ukrainian people. Meloni expressed her approval for this phase and confirmed Italy’s support for the effort launched by President Trump.
