Arezzo: Tuscany, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna have emerged as the leading Italian regions for healthcare quality, as indicated by the provisional data from the latest LEA minimal assistance levels survey released on Saturday.
According to Ansa News Agency, the provisional figures for 2023, based on 33 indicators ranging from hospital admissions to screenings, also highlighted strong performances by Piedmont, Marche, and Umbria. However, Lombardy experienced a decline, falling to eighth place compared to its previous standing.
Sicily, Calabria, and Valle d’Aosta were positioned at the bottom of the healthcare quality rankings. The provisional results were unveiled by Americo Cicchetti, the health ministry’s general director for health planning, during the Risk Management Forum in Arezzo. The health ministry is expected to publish the survey with definitive data.
