Turin: The Turin Book Show has set a new record of 231,000 visitors, organisers said on its final day Monday. As it closed its 37th edition at the Lingotto Fiere, they noted that this was better than the previous record, set last year at 222,000.
According to Ansa News Agency, Piero Crocenzi, CEO of the Salone Libro company, announced the figures. In 2026, the Salone will be from May 14 to 18, and the guest country will be Greece, announced the director Annalena Benini.
“129,360 people attended the events in the 70 halls. There were 2,647 events plus the 800 of the Salone Off,” said Crocenzi. Further details revealed that 94.5% of the tickets were bought online, 49% of which were by under 35s.
