NEW YORK: United States President-elect Donald Trump has reiterated his praise for Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni following their recent meeting at the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Trump, speaking to Class CNBC on Wall Street after marking the opening of the stock exchange, described Meloni as a “fantastic leader and person.”
According to Ansa News Agency, Trump, who is 78, further elaborated on his admiration for Meloni in an interview with the New York Post earlier this week. He characterized their encounter in Paris as “great” and described Meloni as “a real live wire” with “a lot of energy.” Trump recounted spending considerable time with the Italian premier during a reception attended by 60 world leaders, including a shared dinner.
“We get along great,” Trump was quoted as saying, underscoring the rapport he felt with Meloni during their interactions in Paris.
