ROME: Premier Giorgia Meloni on Thursday expressed her satisfaction with the recent jobs data released by Italy’s national statistics agency, Istat, highlighting the figures as a testament to the effectiveness of the government’s economic policies.

According to Ansa News Agency, the data for the third quarter of 2024 reveals a growing employment rate, which has reached 62.4%. Additionally, there has been a notable reduction in the unemployment rate, now at 6.1%, marking a decrease of 0.6% from the previous quarter. Meloni emphasized that these figures are indicative of a robust labor market performance and a promising sign for Italy’s economic future.
