Tennis: Sinner Wins the China Open

Beijing: Jannik Sinner defeated American Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the China Open in Beijing, marking a triumphant comeback following his recent defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open.

According to Ansa News Agency, Sinner’s loss at Flushing Meadows resulted in the 24-year-old Italian relinquishing the top spot in the world rankings to his Spanish opponent. Despite this setback, Sinner expressed contentment with his recent victory, stating, “Today I’m happy.”

Sinner extended his gratitude to the Chinese fans, acknowledging their support and saying they made him feel at home. He also thanked the many Italians who were watching his match on television. Looking ahead, Sinner is preparing to compete in the upcoming Shanghai Masters.
