Tax Revenue Increases by £8.4 Billion in First Seven Months of 2025

Rome: In the January to July period of 2025, tax revenue assessed on an accruals basis reached £336.8 billion, marking an increase of £8.4 billion compared to the same period in 2024, or a growth of 2.6%, as reported by the economy ministry on Friday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the increase was driven by a £1.5 billion rise in direct taxes and a £6.9 billion rise in indirect taxes. The figures reflect a significant boost in tax revenue collection during the first seven months of the year.
