Tajani Lands in Paris for Euro-Arab Ministerial Meeting on Gaza Peace Plan
Paris: Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Thursday landed in Paris to participate in a Euro-Arab ministerial meeting on the implementation of the US peace plan for Gaza.
According to Ansa News Agency, the Paris meeting will take place concurrently with the Israeli government meeting to formally review the agreement reached last night in Sharm el-Sheikh. This is expected to be followed by the entry into force of the ceasefire in Gaza and the partial withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Strip along the agreed-upon line.
Minister Tajani, along with his colleagues from the E4 (Italy, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom), the Arab Quintet (Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar), and other international partners, will discuss the next steps to implement President Trump’s peace plan. The discussion will focus on five key points: Gaza governance, Hamas disarmament, stabilization of the Strip, reconstruction, and the role of the UN.
