Italian Excellence Showcases ‘Made in Italy’ in Barcelona

Barcelona: Italian excellence lands in Barcelona and meets the Spanish market with a new stage of the international roadshow ‘Made in Italy between tradition and innovation,’ scheduled for Oct. 20 at the European Institute for Design (Ied), which will see the participation of institutional representatives, entrepreneurs, and companies active in Spain.

According to Ansa News Agency, the event is organized by the Made in Italy Community with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Barcelona, the Italian-Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Foment del Traball, and Ied Barcelona. This initiative is part of an international project that has already reached several European cities, including Madrid last January, and aims to continue expanding globally through a network of ambassadors.

The event seeks to provide a platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities of the ‘Made in Italy’ brand in the Iberian market. It aims to foster synergies, inspire new ideas, and create business opportunities, thereby strengthening the connection between the Italian entrepreneurial ecosystem and the dynamic Spanish economic fabric.

Prominent figures attending the event include Roberto Santori, founder of Made in Italy Community; Igor Garzesi, president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona; Gabriele Luca Fava, consul general of Italy in Barcelona; Mar Alarcon, vice president of Foment del Traball; and Andrea Marchesi, director general of Ied Barcelona.

The event will feature in-depth discussions and debates, beginning with the presentation of research that will unveil Spanish consumers’ perceptions and expectations of ‘Made in Italy.’ This will provide valuable insights for companies and entrepreneurs. Following this, a round table discussion on experiences, challenges, and strategies will be moderated by journalist Patrizia La Daga, Made in Italy Community’s Ambassador in Spain. Notable business figures from Spain, such as Luca Bradaschia (Amplifon-Gaes Espana), Alessandro Di Salvo (Italtel Espana), and others, will participate. Additionally, Valentina Pizzuti and Massimiliano Brigida will present their start-ups focused on innovation.

Roberto Santori expressed the goal of supporting companies that strive to promote Italian identity and innovation worldwide, despite challenging and uncertain markets. He emphasized that events like these facilitate dialogue, inspiration, and tangible opportunities.

The event will conclude with a networking cocktail, providing an opportunity for further exchange of ideas, experiences, and projects, ultimately strengthening the ties between the Italian and Spanish business communities.
