Stellantis Faces 1.5 Billion Euro Tariff Impact in United States
Turin: Stellantis announced that tariffs in the United States are expected to cost the Italian-French-American auto group 1.5 billion euros this year. The company, which encompasses brands such as Jeep, Peugeot, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Chrysler, made this disclosure on Tuesday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Stellantis updated its estimate of the 2025 net tariff impact to approximately 1.5 billion euros. Of this, 0.3 billion euros were incurred in the first half of 2025, as reported in the company’s first-half results. Stellantis emphasized its active engagement with relevant policymakers and its commitment to long-term scenario planning to navigate these challenges.
The auto group confirmed a net loss of 2.3 billion euros in the first half of the year. This figure includes 3.3 billion euros of net charges that were excluded from adjusted operating income, highlighting the financial strain posed by the tariffs and other operational challenges.
