Italian Non-EU Exports Up 6% in June Says Istat

Rome: Italian exports to non-EU countries increased by 6.0% in June compared with May, while imports rose by 5.1%, according to seasonally-adjusted data released by Istat on Tuesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency stated that exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 4.7% with respect to June 2024, while imports increased by 10.0%. The trade data highlighted a significant rise in exports to the United States, which surged by 10.3% in June in year-on-year terms, and imports from the U.S. leaped by 45.7%.

In June 2025, Istat reported that the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 5,391 million euros, a decrease compared with a surplus of 6,111 million euros in June 2024. Excluding energy, the surplus was 9,271 million euros, down from a 9,729-million-euro surplus in June 2024.
