Soccer: Roma Take Rome Derby 2-0 Over Lazio

Vatican City: As Roma took the Rome derby 2-0 over Lazio Sunday night. The Giallorossi went two up within the first 18 minutes through a superbly curled finish from lifelong Roma fan, captain and Italy attacking midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini and a jabbed-in rebound by Belgium winger Alexis Saelemaekers, and never really looked in danger of relinquishing that lead despite several second half efforts from the Biancocelesti.

According to Ansa News Agency, newly appointed veteran Roma coach Claudio Ranieri, who won the Premiership with Leicester in the ultimate sporting fairy-tale in 2016, kept his perfect five-from-five derby record. Roma have now won four of the last six derbies.
