Soccer: Inzaghi Leaves Inter, Set to Sign for Al Hilal

Milan: Simone Inzaghi informed Inter bosses on Tuesday that he is departing the club and is prepared to sign with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. Inzaghi’s decision comes after discussions with Chairman Beppe Marotta following Inter’s significant 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

According to Ansa News Agency, Marotta expressed a desire for Inzaghi to remain with the club despite the recent loss. However, the 49-year-old coach has been linked with a promising opportunity at Al Hilal. Under Inzaghi’s leadership, Inter secured the 2023-24 Serie A title, demonstrating his ability to guide the team to success.

Since joining Inter in 2021, Inzaghi also led the team to victory in two Italian Cups and reached the Champions League final twice. Inter released a statement confirming the departure, emphasizing that the decision was mutual and highlighting Inzaghi’s tenure for his passion, professionalism, and dedication.
