Bologna: Schools are to close in Bologna Friday due to a weather red alert that has flagged up the risk of rivers breaking their banks and widespread flooding.

According to Ansa News Agency, Italy is currently enduring the wettest part of the winter with a rain front having hit the country Wednesday and two more coming in on Friday and Saturday.
