Shanghai: Italy won the gold medal in the men’s quadruple sculls event at the 2025 world rowing championships in Shanghai on Thursday. The Italian team showcased a remarkable performance to claim victory over strong competitors.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian team, comprised of Luca Rambaldi, Andrea Panizza, Giacomo Gentili, and Luca Chiumento, secured the top position by defeating Britain, who took the silver medal, while Poland claimed bronze. The Italian rowers expressed deep emotion as they dedicated their victory to their former teammate Filippo Mondelli, who passed away in 2021 after battling cancer at the age of 26.
