According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni expressed her sentiments by stating, “I feel like conveying an affectionate greeting to the Holy Father whose strength and guidance have been unfailing.” She emphasized her hope for the Pope’s swift recovery and stated that she was certain her wishes echoed the sentiments of the entire Italian population.

The premier’s words were met with a standing ovation from all members of the Senate, who rose to their feet and applauded her remarks.
