According to Ansa News Agency, President Mattarella, in a statement, conveyed his deep personal sorrow and the void left by the pope’s passing. He remarked on the profound pain and emotion felt not only among Italians but also globally. The president emphasized Pope Francis’ teachings, which highlighted the evangelical message, solidarity among people, the duty of supporting the weakest, international cooperation, and peace.
