According to Ansa News Agency, the pontiff woke up, had breakfast, and is continuing his therapy, while also undergoing new tests. The results of these tests are expected to be communicated in a medical update on Thursday afternoon. Despite not receiving new visits, Pope Francis stays informed about ongoing events and prayer initiatives by worshippers.
The Vatican sources noted that the 88-year-old pope from Argentina continues to receive oxygen therapy and spends time seated in an armchair. His mood is reported to be good. Earlier, the Vatican Press Office stated that Pope Francis had a restful night.
A medical bulletin released on Wednesday evening indicated that the pope had not experienced any further respiratory crises, but his prognosis remains guarded. Blood and haematocytometric tests conducted on Thursday confirmed the previous day’s improvement. However, the bulletin emphasized that the prognosis is still reserved, despite a slight improvement. Pope Francis continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy and respiratory physiotherapy.
