Vatican city: Pope Leo XIV criticized the new global arms race and the failure to adequately tackle the climate crisis and social inequality in his message for the Catholic Church’s World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR). According to Ansa News Agency, Pope Leo XIV’s message, released by the Vatican ahead of the WDMR on October 4-5, emphasized the current global context marked by wars, violence, injustice, and extreme weather events.
