Pope Calls for End to Strikes on Civilians

Vatican City: Pope Francis reiterated his appeal for peace in the world’s conflict zones during his Angelus address on Sunday and demanded a stop to attacks that hit civilians.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Pope urged for continued prayers for peace in Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Myanmar, and Sudan. He emphasized the need for the international community to act decisively to ensure that humanitarian law is respected in these conflicts.

The pontiff strongly condemned the targeting of civilians, schools, hospitals, and workplaces, declaring that “war is always a defeat, always.” His message serves as a reminder of the ongoing humanitarian crises and the urgent need for global intervention to protect innocent lives.
