MotoGP Thailand GP: Bagnaia Secures Third Place Finish
Bangkok: Italy’s two-time MotoGP champion Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia secured a third-place finish in the opening race of the season, the Thailand Grand Prix, on Sunday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Bagnaia’s new Ducati teammate, Marc Marquez, clinched the victory, while Marc’s brother, Alex Marquez, took second place riding for Gresini. The race results mirrored the outcomes of the sprint race held on Saturday, where the trio finished in the same order.
In terms of the championship standings after the race, Marc Marquez leads with 37 points, followed by Alex Marquez with 29 points and Francesco Bagnaia with 23 points. Franco Morbidelli is in fourth place with 18 points, while Ai Ogura rounds out the top five with 17 points. Other notable standings include Marco Bezzecchi and Brad Binder, both with 10 points, Johann Zarco with 9 points, Enea Bastianini with 7 points, and Fabio Di Giannantonio with 6 points.
