Milan Stock Exchange Closes with Significant Decline Amid US Tariff Concerns
Milan: The Milan stock exchange experienced a significant downturn, closing down 1.53% at 38,622 points on Thursday. This development marked it as the worst performer among Europe’s major bourses, driven by apprehensions regarding the potential impacts of United States tariffs.
According to Ansa News Agency, Ferrari was among the notable underperformers, with its stock falling by 7.91%. This decline followed Exor’s decision to sell part of its stake in the luxury carmaker. Similarly, Stellantis saw its share price decrease by 5.21% after revealing disappointing results for 2024.
In contrast, Pirelli saw a positive outcome, with its shares gaining 4.64%. This increase came on the back of better-than-expected quarterly results and the announcement of an anti-tariff plan.
