Meloni Meets Zelensky in London, Italy with Kyiv Support

Rome: Premier Giorgia Meloni on Sunday met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the Ukraine and European defence summit in London and reiterated that Italy is with Kyiv as it fends off the Russian invasion, her office said.

According to Ansa News Agency, the meeting, as informed by a note from Palazzo Chigi, allowed the Prime Minister to reaffirm Italy’s support for Ukraine and its people. The commitment was emphasized, along with European, Western partners and the United States, to build a just and lasting peace. This peace aims to ensure a future of sovereignty, security, and freedom for Ukraine.
