Mattarella Bemoans Unacceptable Violence in Middle East
Rome: President Sergio Mattarella lamented the “unacceptable violence” in the Middle East in a message on Sunday to mark the end of Ramadan. “It is painful to note that, once again this year, the observation of the month of Ramadan has been disturbed by unacceptable violence and enduring tensions, especially in the Middle East,” the head of State said.
According to Ansa News Agency, President Mattarella expressed his solidarity with innocent civilians who are suffering the effects of ongoing crises. He expressed hope that the message of peace and brotherhood conveyed by religions will be respected.
