MotoGP: Dominant Marc Marquez Wins Austin Sprint

Austin: Marc Marquez of the Ducati factory team continued his early-season dominance by winning the MotoGP sprint race at the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Marquez’s teammate, Italy’s two-time MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia, secured third place while his brother Alex Marquez of the BK8 Gresini Racing team finished in second, resulting in an all-Ducati podium.

The Spanish six-time MotoGP champion will start Sunday’s main event in pole position after notching the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday. Marc Marquez also started in pole position for the first two Grands Prix of the season and won them both, along with the sprint races.
