Mafia Boss Giovanni Brusca Completely Free
Rome: Mafia boss Giovanni Brusca, one of Italy’s most notorious mobsters, is now completely free after completing the four-year probation period that was imposed following his release from jail in 2021. Brusca, aged 68, is infamous for his involvement in numerous high-profile crimes, including setting off the explosive that killed anti-Mafia prosecutor Giovanni Falcone in 1992.
According to Ansa News Agency, Brusca also orchestrated the murder of Giuseppe Di Matteo, the teenage son of a mafia informant, who was strangled and dissolved in acid. Brusca’s criminal activities led to his arrest in May 1996, after which he was sentenced to life in prison for his role in dozens of murders, including the killings of Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo, and three police officers in the devastating attack of May 1992.
