Saudi Club Al Hilal Confirm Arrival of Coach Simone Inzaghi
Saudi Arabia: Saudi club Al Hilal announced on Thursday that Simone Inzaghi is their new coach after he left Inter following their 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Saturday. “The Italian genius is here,” Al Hilal said via social media.
According to Ansa News Agency, Inzaghi expressed his ambitions in an interview on the club’s website, stating that his aim was “to win as much as possible, to win trophies, because it is the most important thing, and then I hope to apply my way of playing and make the team play in the best way at football.” He further promised that his team would play with “speed, aggression, and determination.”
Inzaghi’s first competitive game in charge will be Al Hilal’s Club World Cup 2025 opener against Real Madrid in Miami on June 18. Under his leadership, Inter secured the 2023-24 Serie A title, won two Italian Cups since his arrival in 2021, and reached the Champions League final twice.
