Leonardo Executives Under Investigation for 2022 Jet Crash

Lecco: Eight people are under investigation following a plane crash on March 16, 2022, involving a Leonardo Aermacchi M346 Jet. The incident occurred in the province of Lecco and has prompted legal scrutiny of seven executives from different divisions of the aerospace company, as well as the second pilot, Giampaolo Goattin from Verona, who sustained minor injuries during the crash.

According to Ansa News Agency, the investigation has concluded, and those involved have been officially notified. The tragic accident resulted in the death of British test pilot Dave Ashley, who was ejected from the aircraft and subsequently thrown against the rock face of Mount Legnone.
