Luanda: The Italian Ambassador to Luanda, Marco Ricci, opened a seminar dedicated to the 9th edition of Italian Design Day, focusing on the theme ‘Inequalities. Design for a better life’. The event, organised by the Embassy in Angola in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency, saw participation from representatives of the Angolan government, the diplomatic corps, as well as individuals from the business, academic, and artistic sectors.
According to Ansa News Agency, the seminar was also attended by students from architecture universities in Luanda, with whom the Embassy has maintained a long-standing collaboration. The event took place at the Institute of Science and Technology in Luanda, providing a platform for engaging discussions.
During the seminar, a debate was held featuring the Testimonial of Italian Design Day in Angola, Italian designer Eugenia Chiara. She was joined by other notable guests, including entrepreneur Claudia Mittler and Angolan architects Dan©cia Sibingo, Sheila Antunes, and Pedro Mvemba Cidade. The discussion highlighted the role of design in addressing inequalities and improving quality of life.
