Italian Ambassador Trichilo Inaugurates Italian Design Exhibition in Osijek

Osijek: The Italian Ambassador to Zagreb, Paolo Trichilo, visited Osijek, one of the main towns in eastern Croatia.

According to Ansa News Agency, during the mission, Trichilo inaugurated the Italian Design and Brand Exhibition at the Slavonia Museum in collaboration with the local representative of the Italian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce. The exhibition showcased materials from the Italian Brand Museum in Naples and featured a selection of furniture that highlighted the elegance of ‘Made in Italy’ alongside sustainable production practices.

Following the inauguration, Ambassador Trichilo met with the Director of the Archaeological Museum to discuss an upcoming exhibition dedicated to the Etruscans, which is planned by the Italian Cultural Institute of Zagreb for this autumn. Additionally, the Ambassador engaged in discussions with the President of the Centre for International Relations to explore potential future collaborations.

The mission also included visits to two Italian companies, Bra.Pag and PanBiscotto, which operate in the textile and confectionery sectors respectively. The visit concluded with a stop at the ‘Eugenio di Savoia Palace’, a historical building constructed in the 18th century by the Prince on an estate granted by Emperor Leopold I. The Mayor of Bilje briefed Ambassador Trichilo on plans for the restoration of the palace, which has fallen into disrepair.
