Juventus to Replace Coach Motta with Former Player Tudor

Turin: Thiago Motta is set to be replaced as Juventus coach by Igor Tudor, club sources said Sunday. Motta, the Italo-Brazilian former Inter player, has faced setbacks with Juventus as their Champions League and Italian Cup aspirations recently came to an end. Additionally, the team suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to title contenders Atalanta, marking their heaviest home defeat since 1967, as well as a 3-0 defeat by eighth-placed Fiorentina.

According to Ansa News Agency, Juventus has slipped to fifth place in the title race. Former Italy international midfielder and ex-Bologna boss Motta is expected to be dismissed. Igor Tudor, a 46-year-old Croatian who previously managed Udinese, Verona, Marseille, and Lazio, is anticipated to replace him. Tudor, who spent a significant portion of his playing career as a defender for Juventus, could be announced as the new coach as early as Sunday evening. He is expected to lead the team in their next game at home against 12th-placed Genoa next Saturday.
