Italy’s Inflation Rate Remains Steady at 1.6% in September
Rome: Italy’s annual inflation rate for September remained steady at 1.6%, the same level as recorded in August.
According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency reported that its consumer price index decreased by 0.2% in month-on-month terms, based on the provisional data provided.
Istat also noted that core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food, remained steady at 2.1%.
Additionally, Istat highlighted that its ‘shopping trolley’ index, which tracks the prices of food, household goods, and personal care products, saw a decline to 3.2% from a previous 3.4%.
