Rome: Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti announced Italy’s ambition to bolster its thriving tourism sector during his address at the Global Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which is being hosted for the first time in Italy at Rome’s Parco della Musica Auditorium.
According to Ansa News Agency, Giorgetti highlighted that Italy ranks as the 10th-top country globally in terms of tourism’s contribution to GDP, with an impressive $258 billion. He acknowledged this as a remarkably positive statistic but emphasized the nation’s potential to achieve even greater success in the sector.
