Italy to Provide Aid for Severely Disabled Children in Gaza
Rome: Italy will assist children in Gaza with severe disabilities, as announced by Disabilities Minister Alessandra Locatelli during a Gaza reconstruction government summit in Rome on Wednesday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Minister Locatelli outlined the initiative at the Italy for Gaza roundtable held at Palazzo Chigi. The project involves a collaboration with the Serafico Institute of Assisi and the ‘La Nostra Famiglia’ association, alongside the Civil Protection Department, led by Department Head Fabio Ciciliano. This network aims to provide essential support and rehabilitation for children facing severe disabilities in Gaza.
Locatelli emphasized that while the project focuses on assistance and rehabilitation, it also highlights the urgent health and hygiene deficiencies prevalent in the war-torn region. Specific urgent needs, such as absorbent pads, have been identified, and efforts will be made to address these requirements promptly.
