Italy Joins Global Appeal for Humanitarian Access to Gaza

Rome: Italy on Tuesday signed, alongside the European Union, a group of member states, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other partners, an urgent appeal to the Israeli authorities to grant full access to Gaza for all aid. The appeal also calls for measures to ensure that humanitarian workers and NGOs can safely continue their work distributing food to the civilian population in the Strip, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Farnesina statement emphasized the pressing need for humanitarian action, highlighting the necessity of strengthening the international commitment to Gaza. It was noted that Italy had engaged in various discussions with the Israeli government in recent weeks, advocating for the openness to aid and expressing its dedication to enhancing support for the most vulnerable segments of Gaza’s population.
