Giani Signs Decree, Tuscany to Vote on October 12 and 13

Tuscany: Tuscany Governor Eugenio Giani on Tuesday signed a decree setting October 12 and 13 as the date for Tuscany’s regional elections.

According to Ansa News Agency, October 12 and 13 had been indicated by Giani as the most likely date in recent weeks. Tuscany is one of seven Italian regions set to vote this autumn. The others are Aosta, Puglia, Calabria, Campania, Marche, and Veneto.

Three regions, Tuscany, Puglia, and Campania, are led by centre-left governors while the others have centre-right leaders except for Aosta, which is headed by an independent centrist and localist administration. Aosta has recently leaned more to the centre left.
