Italy and Bahrain Urge Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza and Hostage Release

Rome: Italy and Bahrain on Monday jointly called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza and urged the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. This declaration was made during a meeting between Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Palazzo Chigi.

According to Ansa News Agency, the premier’s office emphasized the commitment of both nations to collaborate in promoting peace and stability across the Middle East. The leaders strongly advocated for an immediate end to the conflict in Gaza and demanded the swift release of all hostages.

Furthermore, the joint statement issued by Italy and Bahrain condemned any unilateral or violent actions occurring in the West Bank, highlighting their potential to undermine the two-state solution. The meeting underscored the shared dedication of Italy and Bahrain to pursue diplomatic efforts in resolving tensions in the region.
