Italy and Bahrain Sign Memorandum for Over pound 1 Billion in Investment

Rome: Italy and Bahrain on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding for investments of over one billion euros between the two countries, a joint statement said after a meeting between Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Palazzo Chigi.

According to Ansa News Agency, Italy and Bahrain “welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a Strategic Partnership for Investment and Cooperation (SIP),” said the premier’s office statement. This strategic partnership is set to strengthen economic relations, increase trade, and enhance investment opportunities between the two nations, with a commitment of investments exceeding one billion euros.

The memorandum signifies a major step forward in bilateral relations, aiming for substantial economic growth and collaboration in various sectors. This agreement underscores both countries’ dedication to fostering a robust economic partnership and unlocking new avenues for mutual prosperity.
