Italian Sport Day Celebrated in Stockholm with Mini-Marathon and Cultural Exchange

Stockholm: The second edition of the Italian Sport in the World Day was celebrated in Stockholm in collaboration with the Swedish Olympic Committee. The event, held at the historic Stockholm stadium, the site of the 1912 Olympics, featured the “Olympialoppet” mini-marathon, where a representation of the Italian Embassy staff participated alongside the public and other enthusiasts.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian Embassy’s booth was a focal point during the event. It provided visitors with information and gadgets related to the upcoming Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Young participants had the opportunity to engage with activities themed around Italy, and attendees enjoyed typical products from the regions set to host the sporting event. The event highlighted both cultural and sporting ties between Italy and Sweden.

Ambassador Pala expressed his hope for continued collaboration between Italy and Sweden in sports, highlighting the shared European record in life expectancy as a testament to the link between physical activity and healthy eating.
