Italian Made in Italy Excellence Showcases Innovation in Barcelona

Barcelona: Italian excellence lands in Barcelona and meets the Spanish market with a new stage of the international roadshow ‘Made in Italy between tradition and innovation,’ scheduled for October 20 at the European Institute for Design (Ied), which will see the participation of institutional representatives, entrepreneurs, and companies active in Spain.

According to Ansa News Agency, the event, organized by the Made in Italy Community with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Barcelona, the Italian-Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Foment del Traball, and Ied Barcelona, is part of an international project that has already touched several European cities, including Madrid last January. The project will continue to expand in the coming months, thanks to a network of ambassadors present all over the world.

The organizers inform that this occasion is proposed as a moment of confrontation on the challenges and opportunities of Made in Italy in the Iberian market. It serves as an opportunity to generate synergies, inspire new ideas, and create business opportunities, strengthening the link between the Italian entrepreneurial ecosystem and the dynamic Spanish economic fabric.

The event will be attended by leading institutional and entrepreneurial figures, including Roberto Santori, founder of Made in Italy Community; Igor Garzesi, president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona; Gabriele Luca Fava, consul general of Italy in Barcelona; Mar Alarcon, vice president of Foment del Traball; and Andrea Marchesi, director general of Ied Barcelona.

The evening will include moments of in-depth discussion and debate, starting with the presentation of research that will reveal Spanish consumers’ perceptions and expectations of Made in Italy, offering key information for companies and entrepreneurs. This will be followed by a round table discussion on experiences, challenges, and strategies, moderated by journalist Patrizia La Daga, Made in Italy Community’s Ambassador in Spain and responsible for the initiative’s international development. Prominent figures from the business scene in Spain, such as Luca Bradaschia (Amplifon-Gaes Espana), Alessandro Di Salvo (Italtel Espana), Pierluigi Galloni (Garda Import), Andrea Pozzolini (Rhea Vendors Group), Valeria Saltarelli (Luiss Guido Carli University – Barcelona Chapter), and Andrea Sica (Smeg Espana) will speak. Additionally, Valentina Pizzuti (Valentina and Pasqualina) and Massimiliano Brigida (It’s Week, La Tech Made in Italy) will present their start-ups in the space dedicated to innovation.

“Our goal is to support companies that, despite increasingly complex and uncertain markets, continue to take Italian identity and innovation beyond our borders. Events like these allow for general dialogue, inspiration, and concrete opportunities,” says Roberto Santori, patron of Challange Network Spa, a company that promotes Italian excellence around the world and founder of the Made in Italy Community, which counts on solid institutional support.

A final toast, with a networking cocktail, will provide a further opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and projects, strengthening the ties between the Italian entrepreneurial ecosystem and the Spanish economic fabric.
